WORKSHOPS

30th MARCH 2016

Internationalization is as a key factor for the success and sustainably for Higher Education Institutions (HEI). Among the main efforts to date have been the strategy to attract a higher number of international students. Other efforts in Higher Education Internationalization, have included the opening of international branch campuses, re-positioning as international universities, singing up to joint degrees, establishing online and blended learning programs, recruitment of international staff, and joint research project and activities. The issue of internationalization is critical for HEI, and it forms part of the criteria being analyzed by accreditation, quality assurances and ranking agencies. Despite the exponential growth of student and scholar international mobility, internationalization has become much more complex with implications for the sustainability of these very institutions.
